03/01/2019 Duração: 14minFinal resting pose as I like to call it. We can all agree it is the most essential pose of your practice and should never be skipped. The rule of thumb is 10 minutes for every 30 minutes of practice. Remember even a short n’ sweet practice under 30 minutes should warrant rest. It reminds our body in its infinite wisdom to memorize the practice, to calm down our nervous system. Remember the goal is to stay present. Twists aide in digestion and give the body a nice and refreshing cell rejuvenation, remembering that yoga is an ancient practice with many benefits that are still not completely understood from a scientific perspective! What I can tell you is that with deep breathing and twisting, you will leave this practice feeling much better both physically and mentally. Twists remind me of receiving a deep tissue massage! Your body is yearning for it but if you are not used to doing twists and stretching in that way, your body may feel sore after practicing! I always make sure to drink pure, fresh water and even take an Epson salt bath for the healing effects of Magnesium. Grab a block and blanket if you like and join me!
