People have some very different views about their jobs. Some say it's a necessary evil or just a paycheck. Some hate their jobs and count down the days until retirement. Others find their work to be very fulfilling. What is God's perspective on work?

The disciples watched Jesus minister to many people over the years. They knew He came to take care of others. But on this Passover they realized He came to minister to them. His hands on their feet spoke volumes. They didn't all respond the same.

Some people are always looking for something better than what they have. Contentment never remains. They are restless souls...always ready to wander and find the next great thing. Andrew was searching too.

These sisters had expectations of Jesus when their brother got very sick. In their minds, He came too late. Many people today have expectations of God/Jesus as well. He ministers to us in the midst of our expectations

Ashamed, guilty, unloved, worthless - Jesus stooped down to this woman to begin communicating what he could bring into her life.

As an army leader, this centurion was used to being in charge. He understood how to give orders and expected them to be carried out. But something about Jesus elicited a different response from this man.

Nicodemus was an analytical, scholarly type who came from a family of high achievers. Even with his educational, political, and spiritual accomplishments, he felt empty. He came to Jesus to have his questions answered, but left that night with far more.

The "disease to please" must be recognized for what it is, and God shows us how to overcome it.

There are occasions in any day to be offended by another person's words, actions, or lack thereof. The offense is felt, but what we do with it is our choice.

We don't say it out loud very often, but it's never far from our life core. All together now, "I like to be in control!" Why is this drive so strong? What does God teach us about this?

There are various things that contribute to our thoughts of not being able to measure up to a task. These can plague us for a lifetime without a "thought antidote" from someone we respect.

There are four essentials in using the gifts God gives us to serve Him.

God has given Jesus followers some incredible gifts to help us serve effectively in His kingdom and wherever we choose to live and work. Too few acknowledge these gifts, try to develop them, or even try to use them.

One of the things God does in His Word is give us the perspective we don't have on our own. This is one of those Bible passages where we often don't have a clue what's really going on in us and around us.

The church is to be a place where in-depth friendships and life-long relationships are established. Romans 12:10 says that we are to be devoted to one another in brotherly love.

The Bible is God's inspired words to us. He shows us how to be saved and where to find wisdom. Only when studied and applied does the Bible help us as God intends. Both the messengers and the listeners have a responsibility in a public setting.

The Ark of the Covenant was the only piece of furniture in the Most Holy Place of the tabernacle. God offers us what we don't deserve when we approach Him with our need that can't be met any other way. Today and every day we celebrate God's mercy.
