In this episode, we catch up with Clint Capurro between hunts. Clint is the co-host of the hunting show, Prime Revolution. We talk about how they started the show, some of the adventures they have been on and their recent move to an online platform. Prime is all about sharing their passion for hunting with the next generation, and we get to chat about the importance of that legacy being passed down. Clint also owns and operates a few trucking companies in Nevada, and we catch up with how that business has been during a pandemic, and what it is like to split between a hunting show and business.  

While filming in Utah, I got to chat with Austin Musselman, of Brown Forman, owners of Jack Daniel Whiskey. Austin comes from a long family line of distillers that dates back 150 years. We talk about the history of commercial Whiskey production, how his family business has changed over the years, his involvement, and his own endeavors in the hunting and outdoor space. There are some great insights to learn from his varied background, for those in a family business, or if you are wanting to pursue your own business ventures. 

This episode we share hunting camp with John Makoff. He is a hunter, a surfer, and he is Chairman of Huntin Fool, which provides hunting planning services and a Managing Director of Unique Investment Corporation, which does private equity investing. We got to spend a week hunting elk at his ranch in Idaho, where he has done an amazing job of managing wildlife for premier hunting, whilst providing a first class experience for hunters. In this talk, we hear from Jana Waller, of Skull Bound Chronicles. Jana has been a lifelong hunter as well as a strong supporter of veterans and conservation. We hear about how she got started in hunting tv, and recently made her transition from TV to Online only. We also chat about how she has been able to use her platform to help veterans get outside and active, and helping to conserve wild lands for future generations. Daniel is a well known published photographer who has spent the last 8 years working the grind of New York City, he has shot for some of the biggest brands in the fashion industry like Oscar de la Renta, Paper, JPMC, and Chris Habana Jewelry. In this podcast he shares his experiences, both good and bad, and what it’s like living and building your name as a photographer in the Fashion Mecca of New York City.

Nick is a former 2/75 Army Ranger Sniper and GRS Operator, and has taken what he leaned in the military applied it to what he does now in high level training here in the states. We get to hear what it was like overseas and how that built a foundation to what he is doing today, as well as a sneak peak into a recent shoot we did with Nick and a group of former military guys.

Jim is a former Army Ranger and a Delta Force Sniper and Free Fall Platoon Sgt. once he retired from the military he went into protection work for some of the biggest names in music, Linkin Park, Disturbed and Taylor Swift. He has now transitioned into building his own personal brand and taking what he learned in the military to training and teaching civilians.

Today we are sharing a talk I had with George Bruce Wilson, from Three Peaks Films. He is an award winning Film-maker/Photographer/Creator based out of Salt Lake City, UT. We had connected via social media, having shared similar interests and creative circles, and got to catch up at the Outdoor Retailer show in Denver. George is known for his incredible climbing imagery, but he also creates in other genres and backdrops as well. So we get to talk about some of the interesting stories and take a behind the scenes look at the outdoor films and photographs that he has captured, and the adventure involved along the way.

Today we get to catch up with Nathan Barry, who founded ConvertKit, which focuses on email marketing for online creators. Nathan has been a friend for many years, from growing up together in Idaho, and it is exciting to see where his company has come in such a short time. We talk about how the company took shape, the impact that Convert kit has had on creatives, and he shares helpful business and startup information, such as the value of moving fast and overlapping your customers. Robert has been in the fashion industry for over 30 years, and he took his passion for designing and exploration and merged the two together to create unique garments that last a lifetime. In this episode I get to talk with Travis Daigle. A former US Army Green Beret and combat veteran. Travis has overcome huge obstacles in his life, and we get to talk about his story, and how he went from being an overweight kid that was abused, to becoming one of the military's elite special forces. And through all that he has become an entrepreneur and a public speaker. He has spoken on a TED X stage, been a cross-fit coach and trainer, and is now training to compete in mixed martial arts. He has been able to inspire people through speaking and writing. He has decided to use his journey and story to help others meet challenges with determination to adapt and overcome.

On this episode, we get to hear from Mark Womack, of Sub 7 Films. Mark has been in the video production business for over 20 years, and more specifically, filming hunting and outdoor shows. There have been some massive changes and growth in the industry over the years, and we get to talk about the history, and some of the stories of what goes into filming hunts around the globe. On this episode, Micah gets to catch up with Kelly Strife, from Proof Research, while filming an episode of Prime Revolution in Utah. Kelly is a passionate hunter, and strives to share that passion with her family, and also through her work as the vice president of sales and marketing for Proof, which is a science driven manufacturer, that not only makes rifles and barrels, but also has a whole other aerospace engineering division as well. Over the years, Kelly has continually grown her knowledge of guns and ammunition, and this knowledge shows, as she helps to grow the brand and presence of Proof Research.

On this episode we get to hear from Kirstie Ennis. Kirstie is an above the knee amputee who went from being a door gunner in the marines, to professional snowboarding, mountaineering, and now has recently started a non-profit called the Kirstie Ennis Foundation. She has not let her injury hold her back, and is striving to help others and inspire people to live life to the fullest. She has been the recipient of many service awards, and has been impacting people through public speaking, and her foundation which is was created to give back and pay it forward.

Today we get to talk with Dan Merkel, who is a legendary surf photographer and videographer, and he is now pursuing his passion for photography by chasing incredible scenic locations across the country and around the world. We talk about his early days photographing surfing, and leading the industry on the cutting edge of technology, in both photo and film. Dan has worked on big budget movies, has traveled the world chasing the big waves, and those that ride them, and also had a large business in stock video and photos.

In this episode, Josiah and Micah had the pleasure of spending time with Frank and Michaela Beauvais, who founded Snake River CrossFit in Nampa, Idaho.
