So therefore, keep your mind strong and healthy because the quality of your mind can largely determine the extent of your achievement in life. That's why 1 Peter 1:13 says, "therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ." Our mind can be considered a seat of feelings or thoughts because it is the intelligence faculty of every human being. The mind has the ability to think and reason. If you want to create a life you love, you need to start thinking about it. It would be best to focus on what you want, not what you don't want. When you focus on the positive things in your life, you will attract more positive things into your life. Psalm 119:15 says, "I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways." Your mind is also a powerful tool for healing, breakthrough, and transformation. Using your mind can heal all kinds of problems when using your mind appropriately. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds." 2 Corinthians 10:4 Breakthrough prayer is a powerful way to connect with God and ask Him to intervene in our lives. Acts 3:6 There was this story in Act chapter 3 where a certain man lame from his mother's womb, who was being carried to the temple gate called beautiful gate so he could beg from the people going into the temple. He had been begging for money at the gate of the temple when he was surrounded by a group of powerful-looking men who had power but no authority to help him. He had cried out in pain, but no one ever considered him worthy of the image of God. He had been spat on, shouted on, and rejected many times because he was weak in their eye. As the lame man continued to cry out on one beautiful morning, men with great light with power and authority appeared at the Beautiful gate of the temple. God is our God: Fear Not! "The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; Your love, O Lord, endures forever--do not abandon the works of Your hands." Psalm 138:8 You may not know it, but God is always with you. He never leaves your side, even when you can't see Him. No matter what you're going through, God is there for you. Faith Comes by Hearing! "Does God lavish His Spirit on you and work miracles among you because you practice the law or because you hear and believe?" Galatians 3:5 Faith comes in many forms, but the best way to acquire this invisible spiritual thing is to hear and believe the word of God. It's a very simple concept, but it can be difficult to grasp if we allow 'seeing to believe reality' rules; Forget that faith is the force behind all the metaphysical forces that present the unseen things into a reality beyond our understanding. A powerful force that can be used to harness any situation or circumstance and used to achieve anything we desire with the word of God. Saint Augustine said, "Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe." Though to an unbeliever, the Word remains a letter to them, and that kills, but to a believer, we have the life and spirit of God. This is the reality we grow to know and understand. A Divided Mind and Heart! "He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God." Romans 8:27 A divided heart and mind can be dangerous things and destructive. It's like a thief who steals from his own heart. When we're in a state of mind, that's full of fear, anger, resentment, and bitterness. We tend to lose sight of what is good then begin harboring and entertaining thoughts of evil in our hearts. I marveled at times to see what the people permitted as guests into their hearts. Likewise, Jesus, on knowing people's thoughts, asked why they chose to, as though demanding an explanation from them. Why allow bitterness and hatred to creep into your heart where the issues of life spring? Brethren, how can you think pure when you already embrace those things that cut it apart. They increased their faith in every level they might find themselves in. They persevered through adversity, pain, and suffering to achieve their goal and accomplish it. When we strive in our faith, we can achieve great things. We can overcome obstacles, setbacks, and failures if we persevere in faith. 1 John 5:4 says, "Everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." To win in life, we must fight the good fight of faith, run to finish the race and embrace what we believe with confidence to the end. We must not be afraid of what lies ahead because some traces of failure or rejection that are not real will always come knocking at the door or mind when we least expect it. God's Mercy for You! "But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life." 1 Timothy 1:16 The mercy we received at the throne of grace shamed the Devil and made him a liar. Mercy is beyond the laws of this world. It is beyond the rules and regulations or policies imposed by others. It is beyond what we can do when our hearts refuse to obey them and our minds refuse to believe in them. So, likewise, it is beyond the boundaries of reason and our capacity to know God's will. That's why Psalm 145:9 says, "The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made." You are Chosen!
