Emmanuel, God is with Us! 2 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 The greatest gift to humankind is Jesus, also known as Immanuel (God is with us). John Wesley once said, “The best of all is God with us,” Immanuel means “God with us.” What a radical thought? Believe it; God’s presence is our assurance of eternal rest and glory. Life is a meaningless struggle and a vain illusion without God’s presence. That’s why Jesus came to save us from this endless struggle. Hebrews 9:24 says, “For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf.” In other words, when we allow Christ to dwell in us, God is always present and never absent. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 One thing I have learned and admired about Christ is his open mind and His love for humankind. The genuine mind never forces things to happen but always works to make them happen through prayer, kindness, love, and faith. Because a genuine heart is a vessel for love, and it is when we are filled with love that we can truly feel the fullness of God’s presence. The question is, is your heart filled with the Love of God in this season and every day of your life? If not, then you need to start thinking differently.
