    In addition to National Industry Day, NABWIC also supports Career and Industry Days within their local state jurisdictions.  Career and Industry days provide students with professional role models who use the days as a platform to share with the students some of their life experiences, possible career roadmaps, techniques for skills development and gives them the opportunity to network with professionals.   The professionals are primarily from occupations supported by “STEM”…science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.   NABWIC participates in several state and local Department of Transportation events. One key event is Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Construction Career Days which is a workforce development tool that introduces high school students to the transportation construction industry and supports the pipeline that will provide the professionals of tomorrow.
