The positive use of technology
17/03/2021 Duração: 34minTechnology is changing us in many ways, it's bringing us a whole load of benefits but at the same time a whole load of distractions and is like a bad addiction to many. How can we manage it better, use it to our advantage and cut our addictions? Two things gave me the idea for recording this show. Firstly last weeks show with Brian Bogert and secondly was reading Satya Nadellas book "Hit Refresh" Yes we are in a very technologically advanced world, yes there are benefits, yes there are draw backs but it is somehow still early in many ways and I think we can take some steps to make technology work for us and not the other way round. Thanks for listening.

Impacting a billion lives with Brian Bogert
10/03/2021 Duração: 50minWhen he was just seven years old, his left arm was detached in a vehicle accident. Throughout his childhood people often asked, “What happened to your arm?” They expected a sports injury or playground mishap—not the raw, painful truth that a truck tore it off. But instead of succumbing to suffering because of the injury, Brian fully recovered and flourished with a reattached arm, thanks to his persistent and proactive focus. He learned early how to move beyond what happened to him by creating an intentional mindset. Bio Brian Bogert is a passionate human behavior and performance coach, speaker, business strategist, top sales professional and philanthropic leader who believes in helping growth-minded individuals achieve the best version of themselves: their most authentic selves. Brian teaches how to leverage radical authenticity and awareness to create the intentional life you’ve been dreaming of, but have struggled to create. His revolutionary strategy—embrace pain to avoid suffering—has helped individuals

From human psychology to dog trainer with Brian Bergford
25/02/2021 Duração: 45minBrian's journey of helping people create transformational change in their lives began at the age of 14. As a result of experiencing significant emotional pain throughout childhood, a desire was kindled to understand the human psyche and uncover the keys to unlocking a person's inner power. Brian earned his degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado, taking particular interest in neuroscience, psycho-pathology, clinical psychology, and the principles of peak performance. Just a few short years after graduating from college, Brian's love for another creature — none other than "man's best friend" — and his knack for training and behavioral rehabilitation led to a career in dog behavior. Brian is a Certified Dog Trainer (IACP-CDT) with extensive experience as a practicing dog behavior specialist. He is a former Vice President and member of the Board of Directors for the International Association of Canine Professionals, and is the owner of Altitude Dog Training and Uptown Dog in Longmont, Colorado. False summits
04/02/2021 Duração: 34minAt the end of 2020 there was a resounding message on many platforms that the bad that was of 2020 was just going to disappear as the click struck midnight on 31/12. Well I would also love to buy into that fantasy but I think a bit of reality needs to come to the party here. Yes 2021 can be better and we certainly hope that it will be better but please folks stay cool and watch out for those false summits. In this weeks show we talk about how to manage false summits and stay motivated although the peaks and the troughs of what is certainly already promising to be a great year!

For the past 18 months I have embarked on a journey that often requires me to run 60kms in a day in 30 Degree heat. Why would someone do this? Well, I went through undiagnosed depression for years that I masked with severe drug use. Burn out, anger and 100% of 75% with Tom Walker
07/01/2021 Duração: 01h01minWelcome to a new year of podcasts. Rather than the normal tripe of setting big scary goals for the year and me firing you up with stuff everyone says but very few do I thought we would get a bit more real for this one. I called in Tom Walker who has had a roller coaster of a journey with the sport of triathlon as he has followed his dreams to race at the world champs but of course like many of us COVID had different plans. For pretty much the first time ever Tom in how own words is "opening up" and in doing so going through some really cool therapy. I know this show was not easy for him to do but I also know it is the start of something truly great for him and hopefully for you also. Enjoy the show. No Weakness. Marcus
