It's very rare that we fail to celebrate Easter as families and as a church but do we really stop to consider the blessings afforded to us as believers? Do we realize that Christ took the full judgement of our sins? That we have the power to live like Him? "No matter what has happened or is happening in your life, you can enjoy the Lord’s blessing." Have you ever felt as though circumstances, sin or people have kept you from enjoying God's blessing on your life? We have learned much about the various land given as an inheritance to the different tribes but there remains one tribe that did not receive any land or allotment. The Levites might well have felt 'left out' but God had a very special plan for them and did not fail to provide for their needs. Be encouraged as we see that God desires for us to enjoy Him, no matter the circumstances or the difficulties.

The depth of chapter two in 1 John compels us to continue studying it's commands, exhortations and encouragements to us as Christians. If you believe that you are a Christian, how can you be positive of your standing with the Lord? What evidences will be present? One evidence is that our private actions and habits are not a separate existence, but often reflect more of who we are than what we do when all eyes are upon us.

Worldly wisdom would tell us that the stronger and faster you are, the better chance you have to succeed. Joshua 14 recounts the powerful testimony of a man who followed God with his whole heart and pushed the literal giants out of the land he had been given. There are giants in all of our lives; yet the power to defeat them lies outside of us in the person of Christ.

Walked the aisle, 'prayed the prayer.' This is a commonly repeated expression in Christian circles as we describe our conversion story to others. But does 'praying the prayer' do anything? What does it actually have to do with becoming a follower and a believer of Christ? It is so much more than that and we can actually KNOW if we are in the faith.

It's not often we stop to consider the concept of power. When we do think of it, we most likely associate it with things that are strong and mighty, not humble and meek. But Christ, our ultimate example, had the most power ever incarnated in human form and He exhibited the perfect manifestation of humility through His life. It's so often the pattern in our lives; we realize we have commited sin or we realize a sin habit in our lives. The last thing we want to do is go back to God! And yet, that is exactly how God has commanded us to live the Christian life, continually going back to Him in repentance.
