Shaming In Yoga Class By Teachers....Sometimes I have to record & publish an episode totally based on real time events. Today’s episode is just that. Students feeling shamed by teachers is horrendous. Yoga is so vulnerable and personal, it’s not a fitness class...teachers need to have self awareness before guiding students in practice. Shame on teachers who “require” students to be at some physical level before practicing. The breath is the most important part of an asana practice, not the shapes a body can make. I’m so sad that students who need yoga for various healing, have also been traumatized by yoga teachers. Today’s episode is just one example. I want to remind students that yoga meets you on the mat!
