Knowing God - Flood Narrative
10/02/2019Today, we are going to talk about the story of the flood. Not how the story is two by two of every animal, but instead about God reveiling himself. Joel asks the question: sin has progressed and gotten worse and worse, and what is God going to do in response to our human nature. The story shows how we have a deeply personal God experiencing deep pain, greif, and judgement. Yet, in the middle of just judgement and death, God's mercy shows a newness of life.
