072 What is Dental Implant Practices? Plus, Group Purchasing Organization
16/05/2018 Duração: 05minI get about 5-10 messages a day from people asking me which implants to buy, which CBCT to use, which surgical guides to use and other questions. I thought possibly by setting up a group of general dentist friendly partnerships I could help introduce good products and organizations with people who would be a good fit. The partners that I would be introducing into this GPO, group purchasing organization, that we are starting would be organizations, labs, implant companies, and manufacturers that are all relevant to implant dentistry, and are friendly to use for the general dentist,. 065 Neodent with Bruno Arnaud
07/03/2018 Duração: 01h06minThe Neodent system is the market leader in Latin America and holds more than 56% of the Brazilian market share. The system is known for its innovations, quality and technology. In Brazil, Neodent is a premium system, where we pay a premium price for it. Here in US, due to the exchange rates, the system is offered in its premium quality but for a value price. Technically, Neodent evolved much through the years. Like most systems, we started with the external hex connection and moved up to the internal hex one. But what makes us stand out the most is definitely our Morse taper connection. It offers a lot of clinical advantages, especially when placed as recommended, such as bone and bone crest maintenance (with maintenance of the gingival papillae), higher mechanical stability (less risks of prosthetic screws getting loosen), a virtually "bacteria free" interface and preservation of the biological width, with a proper biologic seal with the dental-gingival fibers attaching to our abutments. That means

055 Implant Spacing and Selection in the Posterior with Dr. Sia Abai
18/10/2017 Duração: 54minImplant selection and positioning can be confidently addressed with thorough, prosthetically driven treatment planning. The appropriate size and spacing of dental implants in the posterior is determined by carefully assessing the anatomy of the ridge, the restorative space available, and the long-term needs of the patient. The edentulous span must be evaluated to identify the appropriate implant size for each site. First, the mesial-distal distance between the teeth adjacent to the edentulous space is measured. Then, the implant sizes are determined, allowing for 1.5 mm of space between the shoulder of each implant and the neighboring tooth, and 3 mm between adjacent implants. Buccolingually, allow for 1–2 mm of bone on each side of the implant.
