In your walk with Christ, when was the last time you were challenged in your faith? It’s not a bad thing to feel comfortable in who you are through Him, but the moment you feel like your coasting is the moment that you’re falling away from Him. There is nothing you can do on your own to save yourself from your mistakes. It’s only by the power of God’s free gift of grace that you can be saved. In your relationship with Christ, do you know where you stand? You could know Jesus for years or just a day, but do you truly know who you are through Him? Today, Pastor Johnny explains that if you know Jesus, you need to live your life as a sacrifice. Jesus sacrificed Himself on the cross so that you could be saved by God’s grace. If you want to know Jesus and not just say that you know Him, live each day as a sacrifice. There is nothing that can be done to repay the debt that Jesus paid. All He asks is that you serve Him. 

It doesn’t matter how long we’ve been following Jesus, as Christians, it’s normal to have times of doubt in our faith. Whether it seems like God isn’t hearing our prayers, or we just feel disconnected from His presence, feeling uneasy with where we stand through Him happens. In today’s message, Pastor Johnny wants you to know that no matter what, you should never question your standing with Jesus. If you have Him in your heart, He has always been by your side and will never abandon you. Choose Jesus daily. 

Sometimes younger believers will try to see how close they can get to sin without actually sinning. This mindset is dangerous and it doesn’t come from a desire to truly know God. One of the callings for all believers is to serve the local church. God has given all of us unique gifts, talents, and abilities. Have you given Jesus a little piece of your heart and life - mostly just Sunday morning and maybe a prayer before your meals? God desires your whole heart. Scripture warns that He spits out the lukewarm followers. 

We need to be so careful not to let this happen to our own hearts or our congregations. The comfort we experience in the modern world can easily lull you into a spiritual sleep. As Pastor Johnny studies the letter to the church of Sardis, we’ll find them in this state of slumber, desperate, and in need of revival.

In today’s message, Pastor Johnny will warn you not to misunderstand God’s blessings in your life. Success socially or in your career doesn’t always indicate God’s approval of what you’re doing. If you’re in sin, His favor on your life is because He’s a gracious God who’s patiently waiting for you to come to Him.

Satan is no fool. He knows the power of persuasion that women typically have over men. As Pastor Johnny will point out in today’s message, he’s been effectively using this tactic since the Garden of Eden. If he can lead the wife astray, before long the husband is much more likely to fall into sinfulness.

The Church has grown entirely too comfortable with corruption within our ranks. We may mean well - we want to treat others with grace - but that doesn’t mean we should allow and even approve of sin. Today, as Pastor Johnny examines the letter to the church of Thyatira, we’ll be warned against corruption within the Church.

The power and positions of this world will pass away. So will all the stuff that comes with wealth. Yet, we find many believers and entire churches that have compromised the Gospel for the sake of these things. Today, Pastor Johnny will warn against this dangerous trend, and challenge you to stand strong in the Gospel.

The god Balaam may not be familiar in our world so far removed from the antiquated idea of gods and goddesses, but the sin he represented is still prevalent in our society. As Pastor Johnny will warn us in today’s message, we need to focus our energy on our Savior and His Word - not on the shiny things our neighbors have. 

Fear of this world or the ruler of darkness doesn’t belong in the heart of a believer. To let it in is to let a loser maintain power even after his authority in your life has been removed. As Pastor Johnny will remind us in today’s message, Jesus has already secured our victory and we need to stand fast in Him and His truth.
