Walking In Truth

Today, we hear from Pastor Johnny’s message that the apostle John wrote letters to various churches and people talking about God’s truth and love in terms they could relate to. Our actions are always telling. They either support or discredit what we believe. In the life of a Christian, we’re not only called to love but also to be discerning because Satan will try to deceive us. The main motivator for everything that God does is love. Whenever we look at how Jesus did ministry, it was always motivated by love. This is the same charge that Jesus gave to us as his disciples, to do all things out of love. In today’s message, Pastor Johnny will be reminding us to love people in everything we do!

We have all gone through hard seasons in this life. One of the promises of Jesus is that in this life we would have many troubles. In today’s message, Pastor Johnny will be sharing about how doubt can be an invitation to become certain of God’s love. Doubts are normal, but God will always back up His claim with action!

God makes many promises in the Bible. He promises that he will never leave us nor forsake us. His Love endures forever and there is nothing that could separate us from it. Satan will always try to lodge some pride in our hearts. It may come as entitlement, selfish desire, or the approval of man. There are many people today, even Christians, who are trying to find purpose outside of Jesus. The Bible says, “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world yet forfeit his soul.” In today’s message, Pastor Johnny is going to be reminding us of the simplicity of the Gospel. Jesus died to give us Life. 

When Paul came preaching the Gospel, he preached about Knowing God and the Power of His resurrection. Paul writes to these churches urging them to forsake everything so that they might know God! In today’s message, Pastor Johnny will be sharing more about how we can know God on a personal level!

The Bible is the perfect Word of God. It’s our guide for everything that is right and true. In today’s message, Pastor Johnny will be sharing the importance of knowing the Bible! Many people today are swayed by their own emotions and confused about what's true. We have to submit them to what the Bible says.

Jesus will always make it personal. When speaking with the disciples, He treated them like friends. Jesus was, and still is, very personal. In today’s message, Pastor Johnny will be talking about who we say Jesus is. When Jesus asked Peter this question he was able to see the truth that Jesus is Christ.

At any point in time, we can be deceived. Satan is always trying to deceive us with something that is different from the Gospel. As Christians, we should never take anything at face value, but weigh it against the word of God!

We claim to have God's love in us as Christians, but when it comes to showing it in real life, we often fail miserably.
