Dental Implant Practices

I hear the question asked all the time, “What is the best dental implant to place for a general dentist”.  I always see the question answered form a surgically driven response.  Today I would like to take a wider look at the question and an even wider look at the answer. A lot of what implant companies tell the clinicians and their marketing message is that their implants are superior and that once a clinician starts using their implants that to switch to a different Implant would be too difficult. I would like to make the assumption that all implants made at a respectable manufacturing facility with a respectable process can and do work.  So why do Dentists choose a dental implant system to start with and satay with that company line.  Most dentists choose implant systems based on where they received their training.  If the industry of labs, dentists, Educators, and manufactures are all using a couple of systems that have open connections and parts then this will create a network effect.  It becomes easier a
