Norway and Nigeria share a traumatic experience – terrorist attacks directed at children and young people. How can parents go on living after the very worst has happened? Brit Bildøen’s critically acclaimed novel Sju dagar i august (Seven Days in August) deals with a couple who are still struggling with their sorrow eight years after their daughter was killed in Norway’s Utøya massacre on 22 July 2011.
