Having completed our study of Colossians, we now embark on a journey in the Old Testament through the events in the life of Nehemiah. A man uniquely positioned in a foreign king's palace, he realizes the need for the war-torn city of Jersualem to be rebuilt. As we look at the first four verses of chapter 1, Nehemiah is revealed as a man dependent on prayer and blessed by a godly heritage.
