Kintsugi or Kintsukuroi (literally: "Golden Repair") is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold or sliver lacquer. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise. In fact, the piece is considered more beautiful BECAUSE of the breakage. We are all "cracked pots" living in a broken world, and this would be discouraging if we did not have a Creator Who is a master at repairing brokenness. The Apostle Peter, one who knew a little about being broken, described the amazing restoration process in 1 Peter 5:10. Not only does God restore His people, but He then highlights our repairs to bless and restore others. We serve an Amazing God! Join us, your fellow "cracked pots," as we embrace our brokenness!
