In his second letter to young pastor Timothy, the Apostle Paul challenges his friend to remain strong in the Lord even in the midst of trouble. Paul wrote, "But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted" (2 Timothy 3:1,12). These are challenging words that remain true today. Living a godly life is not glamorous or easy, but it is the life we are called to live as Christ followers.
