Do you ever feel like you are wandering through life without a purpose or direction? Maybe you feel like you have charted a course for your life, but it feels empty and void like you lack meaning. Jesus came to give us a life that exceeds all expectation (John 10:10) and wants to give us purpose today. That is why Jesus uttered two simple words, "Follow Me," to those who wanted to be His disciples. "Follow me" is not a complicated phrase, but Jesus knew that following Him was no easy task. In fact, throughout Scripture it seems as though Jesus was trying to dissuade people from following Him. At the very least, He wanted people to think through the ramifications of what following Him really meant. Matthew 7:21-23 says Jesus told those who wanted to follow Him that it would cost them everything! That same statement is true today- to follow Jesus it will cost you everything.
