Grace. Likely you are familiar with this word, but have you really taken the time to ponder its meaning? According to the prophet Isaiah, grace can be described this way: "Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’" (Isaiah 58:9) The prophet continues by proclaiming that if we stop pointing fingers at others in anger, feed the hungry and pay attention to the needs of the afflicted, then God will make our light rise in the darkness (Isaiah 58:10). In other words, God has extended grace to us; therefore, we are to extend grace to others. We can do all of the right things with all the wrong motives and cause pain and heartache. Amazing grace is BOTH vertical AND horizontal. The two greatest commandments, according to Jesus, leads us to have a Passion for God and Passion for People. Join us as we discuss God's amazing grace!
