Our world is full of symbols. The Christmas tree, the turkey, the American flag, the Statue of Liberty and the Viet-Nam War Memorial in Washington D.C. are just a few examples of symbols that cause us to pause and think. Having just celebrated Thanksgiving as a country, we take a moment to partake in the Lord's Table also known as Communion, to remember what God has done for us. The bread and juice remind us of Jesus' body that was broken for us and blood that was shed for our sin. Today, we can celebrate that Jesus died and rose again to bring us victory once for all.
