FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT OverviewThere is nothing more attractive and engaging than a life that looks like and acts like Jesus. When we live God’s way, when we are walking with Jesus, working with him, watching how he does things, inviting and welcoming the Holy Spirit to have the run of our lives, the Holy Spirit produces fruit in our lives. The mix of fruit includes affection for and commitment to others, exuberance about life, calmness even in stormy times, a willingness to stick with things, feeling with and for others such that we are moved to act for their wellbeing. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way but rather able to marshal and direct our energies wisely. There is absolutely no law against any of these things. During this series we will consider each of the nine aspects of the fruit of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23 and how we can continue to nurture it.
