The New York Mets remain in the third and final playoff spot inn the National League after a 8-5 win over the Chicago Cubs. Nolan McLean had a weird evening, tallying up 11 strikeouts over 5 plus innings of work. But it was three home runs that allowed the Cubs to hang around. The Mets bullpen shut the door to give the Mets the win and keep them in that last spot with three games to go. Brett Baty had the huge hit, a three run home run that opened the game up and gave the Mets a 6-0 lead.
