On this week's episode of The Cine-Files, Steve Morris and John Rocha offer up their overdue tribute to the late and incredibly great Diane Keaton by revisiting 1977's 'Annie Hall'. The film stars Keaton and Woody Allen who also co-wrote and directed the movie. A satirical romantic comedy-drama with Allen as Alvy Singer, who tries to figure out the reasons for the failure of his relationship with the eponymous female lead, Annie Hall, a role Allen wrote specifically for Keaton. The film was nominated for the Big Five Academy Awards, winning four: the Academy Award for Best Picture, two for Allen (Best Director and, with Marshall Brickman, Best Original Screenplay), and Best Actress for Keaton who also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress that year. It ranks 31st on AFI's list of the 100 greatest films in American cinema.
