Vast troves of data will be collected on our every activity, monitor our health, track our movements, and watch our consumption. What we do with that data will shape what we become as a society. Tools Loyd took his new Surface Pro 4 on a road trip, and gives it a big thumbs up. He also builds a new portable hard drive into a tiny chassis using an M-SATA SSD. While on the topic of flash memory, he also obtains a cool new USB key that looks like an old-school vacuum tube. Eric's not so sure about the portable SSD thing.
