In April of 2023, today’s guest, Marielle Williamson, planned to hold an event for fellow students at Eagle Rock High School to promote the benefits of plant milks and highlight the consequences of dairy milk consumption and production. However, the school’s administration informed her she could only promote the benefits of plant milks if she did so for dairy milk, too, citing a federal law stating any information that could directly or indirectly restrict the sale or marketing of cow’s milk on school campuses is prohibited.
