Little does everybody know that Marvel was in the T.V. game years before the MCU became a thing. In 1978 Dr. Strange was airing at the same time that a replay of the classic tv series Roots. Well..... airing against Roots killed the overnight ratings for Dr. Strange and it didn't get picked up.....Go figure.... Dr. Strange was a master of the mystic arts in the comics and he kinda was in this. I mean it was an origin story but maybe it was an origin story for a different universe. They took a lot of liberties with the property and we don't think the world was ready. For the 70's though it wasn't half bad. Anyway, now that Doctor Strange 2 is postponed for a little while due to Covid-19 we thought this would be a good topic this week. Watching Toxie kick ass at midnight and our first taste of The Killer Tomatoes, or even seeing the dead return to life turned us into what we are today. (well maybe, I mean who are we really?
