POSTCAST: Mets Play SLOPPY, Get SHUTOUT By Braves for FIFTH Straight Loss
19/06/2025 Duração: 20minThe New York Mets didn't hit, they didn't get good starting pitching and they played sloppy defense as they fell to the Atlanta Braves, 5-0 for their FIFTH straight loss. It was bad from the word go, as Ronald Acuna Jr. took Paul Blackburn's first pitch deep for a leadoff HR as part a of three-run first inning. The Mets, defensively, handed the Braves a series of runs. One came on an error by Luis Torrens after he used his mask to stop a ball that got away. The other, in the 4th, came on a wild pitch. Offensively, there wasn't a whole lot. The Mets had ONE at-bat with runners in scoring position. Francisco Lindor, Juan Soto and Pete Alonso combined to go 0-for-12 with 5 strikeouts against Chris Sale, who threw a gem. Somehow, this team will have to regroup and try to salvage the finale of this series to avoid six straight losses and two straight series sweeps.
