While in Chicago, we sat down with post-collegiate group Vocal Chaos to talk about all the projects they have going on - from recording to concerts - and some of the fascinating things they've done together as a group over the years. While we had them in the mobile studio, we also got 'em to sing for us! Recorded in 2016.

The Freshman Fifteen are a group that places a big emphasis on group culture - so we talked about the elements of that, from auditioning to onboarding to nicknames. We also talked about how their sound has changed over the years with personnel changes and time, and hear some of their current songs. Recorded in 2016.

While in the Chicago area, we were happy to invite the University of Illinois-Chicago Downtown Voices into the mobile studio. We talked about them about how the group got started, and what the scene is like for a Chicago collegiate group not from one of the a cappella mega-schools. While in the Chicago area, we invited the Huskie Hunks from Northern Illinois University to join us in the mobile studio to talk about their focus on competition and the ICCA, about their musical leanings these days, and about what's ahead for the group. The Port Clinton Touch of Class has distinguished itself on ICHSA competition stages, in performances all over the place, and soon, taking the stage at NACC. We sat down with the group to break it all down, talk about their rehearsal strategies, and hear them sing. Recorded in 2016.

In 2016, we caught up with the Slate Vocal Band, an all-guys group from Cheyenne Mountain HS in Colorado, to hear them sing some songs and tell their story. We talked about what they get from Slate that's different from other groups, and about their plans for the future.

While at the Kettering A Cappella Festival in late 2015, we brought the North Union High School NU Age into the mobile studio to hear about their journey as a group so far. It hasn't been a long one - they've only been around a little while - but they've done a lot in that time. We also hear them sing!

In late 2015, we brought the Berkeley Prep School Mello Divas (from Florida) into the mobile studio to break down everything they are up to - from recording to touring to competing. They have an impressive history and do a lot, so we went through it all. They also sang some of their current music for us.

In late 2015, we brought Honey Whiskey Trio into our studios to have a chat and sing some songs. While together, we talked about their musical influences, about how they balance HWT with their other gigs and lives, and what's ahead for the group. They also sounded great on some live tunes.

In late 2015, we were happy to bring the members of Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School's Vocal Point (from Wisconsin) into the mobile studio. We talk about staying focused but still having fun, about their festival and competition experiences, and more. They also sing some tunes for us.

In late 2015, we caught up with the women of Cheyenne Mountain High School's Crimson and talked about their group's history, about deciding to join the group (and the audition process), and the kinds of music that they're gravitating toward these days. We also heard them sing for us.

When we were able to sit down in the mobile studio with Michigan State University's Ladies First in 2015, we talked with them about the group's origins and where they are today, both musically and in terms of their vibe. 2Knight 2Knight has a lot going on, as they work to increase their visibility in their community. They have competed in several local and regional events and festivals, and been continually upping their game. We talk with the members of the group about that journey, and what's ahead. The Cedarville Inversions are a group that has been around only about four years, but has been steadily growing their repertoire, abilities, and sound since formation. Along the way, they've had to deal with the challenges of starting a new group - and seeding a new a cappella environment. Mere hours before the national Harmony Sweepstakes finals, we caught up with finalists Timepiece to talk about their backstory, why they compete, and what kind of music they enjoy singing together. They went on that evening to take second place in the national finals and win audience favorite! Recorded in 2015.

Diana and Marty are a formidable team, and they each have fascinating backgrounds. We talked with them about their journeys in music and in a cappella, and how they make their way in the world working professionally in the entertainment industry. Recorded in 2015.

At the national Harmony Sweepstakes finals in 2015, we sat down with finalists Remedy, from the University of Dayton. Many of the members were there at the founding of the group, so we talked about the challenges and triumphs of a new ensemble. Based on their Sweeps success and upcoming interest in the ICCA, we also talked about the role of competition - and heard some of their current tunes.
