Stacey and Pastor Rich discuss peppermint sundaes and church membership in light of 1 Corinthians 12 and the Protestant Reformation, recognizing that when we belong to Christ, we belong to one another.   1 Corinthians 12:27 (NIV) Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

That is the point of today's discussion after all the witty(ish) banter and pop culture meanderings. Eventually Stacey and Pastor Rich settle into looking at what Paul wrote to the Colossian church about keeping their focus on the person and finished work of Christ, rather than on rules, regulations, and experience. In light of this New Testament teaching, we consider how the continental Reformers of the 16th century reformed the church by rethinking Christian worship, which had been focused on special people doing special things in special ways to gain God's special favor.   Romans 1:17 (NIV) "For in the Gospel the righteousness of God is revealed--a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: 'The righteous will live by faith.'" Miss Sarah and Imagine Worship brought their dance ministry to Real Life Community Church on Sunday, October 24, so we took this opportunity to discuss the idea of worship through movement, the balance of the rational and emotional aspects of worship, and God's gift of artistic expression. Imagine Worship is an ambassador program for Dance Arts, Stevensvile, MI, in which their goal is to engage others in worship through movement and music.
