For the week of July 1st, 2020, Canada Day, Ted Stovin and Wacey Anderson fill the void of this year's cancelled Calgary Stampede by making the trip out west to have a chat with Honorary Parade Marshal Filipe Masetti Leite. By the time you listen to this show, Filipe will have finished his third and final Long Ride. His first began in 2012 at the Calgary Stampede and ventured 10,000 miles to Barretos, Brazil. You can read about that journey in his book Long Ride Home. His second Long Ride went from Barretos to the southern tip of South America. Edwards was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky earning a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Dayton.  Immediately after college, Brett moved out to Los Angeles to pursue a career as an actor and writer.  Edwards is known for his work on American Sniper, The Longest Ride and Westworld. Brett wrote, produced, and starred in the award-winning short film The Heeler alongside Academy Award Winner J.K. Simmons. Butterfield nearly died in a horse accident in High Prairie and tells us about the harrowing tale among other pursuits in his career.
