“Daddly Does It” initiative shows the importance of meeting people where they are. Also, the transformative power in not treating people as isolated individuals but within their social context.

2nd day in Rochdale, spent time with local organisations. Biggest takeaway, empower people - people need and deserve respect!

GPs are the most well respected and trusted people in a place, so initiatives in the Greater Manchester area focused on helping the underprivileged are designed around GPs. “Social Prescribing” becoming a common practice amongst GPs also positively surprised me. Loving the initiatives!

A friend of mine is starting at EF at the same time as Zinc is kicking off, so we get to compare notes on how the two accelerators are like. Also, some shocking update on a friend’s experience with bureaucracy...

A new phase of my life officially kicks off tomorrow! Excited~

Ran into an old friend from Japan exchange year at another friend’s house party - we truly live in a bubble, don’t we :P

Physical environment definitely plays an important role in stimulating the people interacting in it. Office space becomes particularly important. Based on my office tours, at least in London, Google office wins Facebook~ But can’t comment on their headquarters. Supposedly FB HQ is modelled after Disney Land~

Extremely fun day at MOE Foundation’s annual conference! Improvised parts of my speech titled “How to Find Your Element”, and it went really well~ Looking forward to seeing the video recording!

Tonight was for codebar. It was very fun, discovered a codebar coach was a YC graduate. And got to practise my speech whilst hanging out with lovely people - implementing Brene Brown’s method of writing! :D

Being reminded that a clear financial model would make or break a company, and entrepreneurship is a marathon. There might be moments when concentrated extreme efforts are important, but it’s still a marathon.

Even though nothing is truly "original", but it's not a bad thing. Because it becomes a form of market validation :) It's all about execution in the end anyway!

Learnt about an awesome organization called Recurse Centre today. Fantastic self-directed learning setup, or say Montessori for adults! Also some reflections on movies in China.

Various different topics but fun! "You weren't meant to have a boss" (www.paulgraham.com/boss.html) - comparing employees in big corporations as lion in zoos - comfortable, but not lively. Then some thoughts on what to do around Brexit... Estonia surprised me again on its e-residency. It’s been out for a few years, but I only just heard about it :P
