When Black Narrows opened, Josh and his team wanted to set the bar of what local beer should look like. Josh shares how by this principle, Black Narrows is crafting beer that focuses on its locality and community while being flavorful and delicious to drink. In other news, we have fun events like beer tastings, festivals, beer & cheese pairings, and a homebrewer’s competition coming up! Liquid Intrusion Brewing Company, also known as LIBCo, is indeed intruding – in the best way possible. What came next was a nudge from his wife Jasmine Dill, a desire to homebrew, and a widow donating her late husband’s homebrewing equipment. Soon came Liquid Intrusion. Drew and Jasmine Dill join the show to tell us about their current beers, where we can find them, the brains behind the brewing of the African Queen and Her Seven Seas IPA, and their plans to open a brick-and-mortar brewery. In other news, it’s Dry January, and kudos to all participating.
