Scarlet Ember and Sunshine Bubbles reunite this week to kick off the inaugural edition of the Geekdown Book Club, as Jordan looks at Aimee Bender's 2011 novel The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake, and Caitlin checks out the always batshit Grant Morrison's retelling of Wonder Woman's origins in the Earth One graphic novel. Did Jordan develop a palate for Bender's sweet and sour novel? Did the bondage-heavy take on the Amazonian Princess make Caitlin throw her tablet out a window? We shall see. t's bachelor week on Geekdown! With Caitlin off doing cartwheels through the magic kingdom, Jordan and guest host Khaiam Dar burped and farted their way through possibly the weirdest episode of the show yet, taking a look at the 2011 Thundercats reboot and #2 on Buzzfeed's list of 'Most Fucked Up Horror Movies,' Takashi Miike's 'Audition.' It's still unclear if Jordan and Khaiam are still friends after this. Also! Trailer roundup, DC's Rebirth, Madoka is the official spirit animal for the show and the continuing saga of that goddamned Ghost in the Shell nonsense.

In the dark ages, long before this podcast, there was a little boy in rural Southwest Ontario and a little girl in Toronto's East Side trying to find out who they were and developing a love for all things geeky. This is their story.
