Selecting music for me is finding a balance between a dark vibe combined with beautiful sounds. These sounds can be very melodic but also hypnotic soundscapes. In the DJ scene you still find more men than women. So it can not be a surprise I am always very happy when I can introduce a female DJ. Ceymi.Ann is born and raised in Flensburg, Germany. Music has always been a big part of her life and along the way she became very interested in electronic music. In 2013 Ceymi.Ann started DJing. For me DJing is always trying to balance between two worlds. On the one side, I look for raw energy and explosive power with repetitive rhythms. For today’s episode we have a guest who is making his second appearance. A few months ago KOWA delivered a mix for the show and I was so happy about it, I wanted him to be part of the show once again. And boy, he did it again. The mix is full of great techno tracks, new material and some cool classics. KOWA is not only a great DJ, he is also a good producer. Together with Alessandro Sajeva he created two tracks which will be soon released on Retail records. Both tracks, Jack Herer and Purple Haze are more complex than the standard techno tracks. They have different layers and are more complex than straight forward techno. When I am preparing a DJ set I am always looking for a rhythmic structure and a futuristic sound. To achieve that goal I search for tracks which incorporate elements of techno, tight sub basses, some ambient and a touch of IDM. Enchantress started as a dancer at 90`s underground techno parties in Praga and Bohemia. She started to select and mix techno music and developed her own style. She created cassette mixtapes and played in electronic bands like Neon Cat. Later Enchantress played in Ibiza clubs like Ocean Drive, Ithaca and Guarana. Enchantress also become resident DJ at Prague's iconic LeClan club and build her own fan base on social media with tens of thousands plays. Enchantress is producing music as a part of the Fckn Spaceship project, with tracks you can find on Spotify, Beatport and other platforms.
