MERRY CHRISTMAS! Welcome, friends, to the Narada Radio Company's second year of performing -- LIVE, in front of an audience -- our adaptation of the 1947 broadcast of "The Lux Radio Theatre: 'It's a Wonderful Life'"! Once again, we performed at the historic Rialto Theater in Aransas Pass, Texas, over two weekends in December 2019, to small, yet appreciative audiences. (BUT -- this is not the same show as last year! It's an extended version: some lines from a 1947 "Camel Screen Players" radio broadcast, plus additional dialogue, were added to this production, for our audience's benefit.) Please do your best to overlook the technical and sound anomalies present in this recording. Here's a re-release of a play that was originally launched 10/30/19, just 11 days ago, for World Audio Drama Day, on the Mutual Audio Network. It's called "MURDERADIO", written by Pete Lutz in September 2019; recorded, directed and produced by Pete Lutz in October 2019, especially for WADD '19. When a late-night talk-radio host invites listeners on Halloween Night to call in and tell him about their favorite murders, he gets more than he bargained for when one caller takes him a bit too... literally. In March 2019, the Narada Radio Company was invited to perform at the Rockport Little Theatre, Rockport, Texas. The choice of show was mine, and I had to hold auditions from local actors, rather than choose my own regular Narada players. As a result of this, two old theatre friends appeared at auditions, and my show was blessed, because I had my "Norma Desmond". We performed only three shows, and got only two recordings, from which I offer what you see here.  It's interesting to note that we created more than 90 live sound effects in this production, many of which I invented myself. Our audiences enjoyed watching our two SFX ladies creating the sounds. The script came originally from the "Lux Radio Theatre" adaptation, but I added dialog from the screenplay here and there; and I wrote new commercials to replace the Lux spots, but for some reason the commercials didn't record very well, so I cut them out of the final recording. The show overall doesn't suffer from this loss, however, and in fact cuts down you

You may know already that the Narada Radio Co. has participated in Jack Ward's annual "Sonic Summerstock Playhouse" festival since 2015, and has produced at least one Old-Time Radio remake per year in support of same. We're proud to tell you, though, that both last year and this, we created four remakes each for this very worthy event. Here's our third one, which, like the first two, was performed and recorded live in August 2018, at Harbor Playhouse, Corpus Christi, Texas. It's the Lux Radio Theatre adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock's "Strangers on a Train".
