When Marvel announced their decision to make a movie based on Ant-Man, it probably felt like a risk. Not as well known as Iron Man or Captain America, would people go see a movie about a character who can shrink to the size of an insect? After the hugely successful films of Phase One, Marvel decided to take a chance on a group of intergalactic heroes known as the Guardians of the Galaxy. Had you ever heard of the Guardians, because John and Justin sure hadn't. It was a bit of a gamble on Marvel's part. This movie could have been a big flop but went on to be a huge success.

Based on the hugely popular Nintendo game, Super Mario Bros. was the first movie to be based on a video game. Although it's safe to say that it doesn't quite resemble the game much.
