Jackson), who still has both of his eyes, they unravel the mystery behind Captain Marvel's past and unlock her full potential! The podcast is officially ten years old. Can you believe it?? And sure, we may have missed, um, a year (or two) here and there, but still! John and Justin's first episode was Man of Steel released on July 19, 2013. So we thought it would be fun to revisit the film that started it all. After the abysmal X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the next solo Wolverine takes a step in the right direction. With director James Mangold (Logan, Ford vs Ferrari) at the helm, this film follows Logan to Japan, which is something the fans had been longing to see. Released just prior to The Dark Knight, Batman: Gotham Knight was advertised as a bridge connecting the new movie to Batman Begins. At a brisk 74 minutes, this film is actually six short films strung together with different animation styles, writers and directors. It's an interesting installment of the DC animated lineup. Directed this time by Justin Lin (director of four of the Fast & Furious films) and co-written by Simon Pegg, this film finds the Enterprise crew stranded on an alien planet with an antagonist full of secrets. Damian is sent to work with the Titans, something that he feels is beneath him. Meanwhile the League gets possessed by Trigon, who happens to be Raven's Dad. It's up to the Titans to save the day! We've finally gotten around to reviewing the second movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Better late than never, right? Released in 2008, The Incredible Hulk was released shortly after Iron Man and was moderately succesful. Starring Edward Norton as Bruce Banner (who would later be replaced by Mark Ruffalo), this is the only solo Incredible Hulk film in the MCU as of 2023.  Do you like The Incredible Hulk? We're on to the third installment of the Michael Bay Transformers movies! (Can you believe we have two more after this?) Dark of the Moon was released in 2011 and brings back Shia LaBeouf, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, and Tyrese Gibson. Gone is Megan Fox and in her place is Rose Huntington-Whitely. In a different universe, perhaps we would have gotten to see Shazam join the Justice League and fight alongside Henry Cavill's Superman and Ben Affleck's Batman. This movie gives us the origin story of Captain Marvel Shazam set in the same universe as Man of Steel, BvS and Justice League. Young Billy Batson is bestowed powers by a magical wizard but not given an instruction manual. What results is one of the funnier DCEU movies. What do you think of Shazam! Transformers! More than meets the eye! It's time to talk about the first sequel in the Transformers franchise: Revenge of the Fallen. Many assumed that title meant Megatron but, nope. There's a Transformer named The Fallen. If that makes you think this movie is going to be bad... just wait! But all is not lost. There are some good moments and cool scenes. In Marvel's Phase Three, a few new characters were introduced including Doctor Stephen Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme. To mainstream audiences, he was a fairly unknown character, similar to the Guardians of the Galaxy, which was a huge hit. Doctor Strange was released in November of 2016 and looked like a superhero version of Inception or The Matrix. Despite a little controversy over the casting of Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One, what we got was a solid entry in the MCU and a great introduction to Stephen Strange.
