Fresh off the heels of his first number one song, "Wild As Her," rising country star, Corey Kent (@CoreyKent), talks to Bobby about his winding road to success in the music industry. When the pandemic started and live music stopped, Corey started working at a pavement company to make money and support his wife and kids. During that time, he got sent a demo of a song Morgan Wallen wrote, which he recorded while still working at the paving company until it went viral. He shares his journey from moving to Nashville at 17, getting dropped from his publishing deal, moving back home in Texas to landing a record deal. Corey also recalls the time he ended up on stage with Willie Nelson when he was 16 and what Willie gave him. Chase moved to Nashville in 2010 and almost immediately found success when he co-wrote Florida Georgia Line's hit song "Cruise." But why his early success didn't lead him where he wanted to go in his career. He talks about how for years he wasn't making the music he truly wanted to, until now with his most recent record.
