Impossible Coin

Rocky, Tegan and Brian perform an E3 post-mortem. They don't agree on the cause of death. Heck, they don't even agree if the patient is dead! Rocky and Tegan think Brian is wrong about Nintendo and crowds. We discover that Earth has always been a battle royale and there are new video games even though it is hot, gross summer. This is kind of a sealed envelope podcast. Brian and Tegan circled up on Saturday for their last look at the world prior to E3 2019 popping off. They talk Pokemon (British), lawsuits (Apple) and Musk (Elon). Of course Impossible Coin's premier Call of Duty correspondent is here to tell you where to put the boots. Time to smoke weed, eat pizza and play CoD!

Rocky, Tegan and Brian happily limp across the finish line of press conferences and Nintendo is here to give them electrolyte enhanced sports drinks, bananas and a protein bar. Nintendo presents a conference which is NOT a deep dive of various sound effects in Smash. They find time to troll us, surprise and provide us with some new desired details. Here's what you need to know; Tegan had hard cider. Rocky had a lot of red wine and Brian had craft beer. E3 marches on! First the team argues about the Ikumi Nakamura and Twitter. Then Ubisoft has two bangers with a dog in between. Square-Enix mostly does well. Everyone and their body pillows is GONNA LOVE IT.

The gang convenes an emergency meeting to dig through the carnage of the opening of E3 and the Google conference. Brian returns from being sick. He is, however, sick of his dad's crap. (The shed is explained.) Tegan and Rocky accuse Brian of gatekeeping a blue hedgehog. He calls them out on the malarky. You might want to unbuckle your pants for Kickstarter's next big hit and you can leave them unbuckled for Call of Duty. The crew salutes Solitaire before colliding with a bat to destroy the bat.

This show has everything you expect from a video game podcast. We deep-dive the romantic comedy genre and identify those responsible for the rom-com crash (Kate Hudson and Dane Cook). We discuss the phenomenon of shipping real people (including ourselves). Rocky reveals a conspiracy theory to Brian which he doesn't have the strength for. Tegan doesn't have the strength for much. By trying to show us they're good Sony may have proven they're bad. Video games y'all.

Big Sach stops by for the mix-up! Fools, WE LEAVE YOU GUESSIN'! The team speculates about Google's gaming plans. Tegan tells about Labo VR. Brian worries that too many of the toys in Labo VR could be used to build Human Labo-pede. There's talk about a bird's butt. Brian legally owns the sex cats. Dwarf Fortress made us sad and Discord is classing up the joint.

Brian got stuck in an elevator AND ALMOST DIED. The nightmare idea of a "quality gamer rum" is invoked. His name isn't Fox McCloud anymore but you can smoke drugs with him and layoffs layoffs layoffs. In a world where Valve disappoints and The Pokemon Company delights  this can only be a cast iron podded cast.
