What a year! After finishing up 2019 with a 9 year anniversary mix, I was excited for 2020, and the opportunity to expant the podcast into other areas and mediums such as some opportunities to teach /tutorial videos, adding Patreon so that I and others could provide our listeners with exclusive content like original tracks and unreleased mixes, tshirts and other swag, etc. Well, then 2020 happened, and midway through the year, I decided that we were not even going to participate in that mess. SO - here we are in 2021 and what I wanted to do with start us out with a mix that is all about the good things - the things life is about - having LOVE in your heart, HOPE in your soul, PEACE in your mind and of course - MUSIC in yo' BODY! This week an exclusive mix from one of the hardest working and best people you can find - Dan - or as most people call him: "Scooby" Scoobyblue (Xero Tribe - LAMP) Scooby bought his first set of turntables in 1999 & in 2000 he started Code Blue Entertainment. Code Blue cut its teeth with a series of house parties in Saint Louis. The success of these led to several underground party and night club appearances. In 2003 he toured with Pomeroy for a short time and worked on several events with Phat Buddah Productions, including opening for rapper Murphy Lee. Also in 2003 the "Boogie Cruise" was born and in 2006 Jen HA & DJC joined the crew and Escape in the Beats was born. Nestled in the heart of Douglass Loop, The Pink Door was a haven for all the misfits, rejects, freaks, queer, straight, loved, and loathed.
