For most photographers it is a time of real uncertainty and of projects cancelations and postponements. Chris and I are not in the studio this week; we are remote recording this at our respective home offices. This week for the most part was light for real hard hitting news outside of Fuji’s flu vaccine seemingly working on the COVID-19 strain. Chris and I will be chatting about copyright, a few bits of camera news and some art news worth investigating.

Chris and Rob continue to talk about their early years in photography. Chris goes deeper into Africa and the opportunities it gave him, schooling and education and assisting. They talk about the different aspects of assisting and gaining knowledge from other places that normally wouldn’t be as obvious. Rob talks about how a quick lunch in his office can often turn into a learning experience and how his years after school moulded him into the photographer he is today. They also touch on portfolios and rob’s personal philosophy behind them.

Friz is a Belfast based artist who works in both traditional and digital mediums. She is part of the SPOOM Collective and the Minaw Collective. Her works have been included in group exhibitions in Sligo, Belfast and Dublin. Studied Classical Animation in BCFE Dublin and Illustration in Telford College Edinburgh. Friz's work is populated by strong female characters with inspiration from mythology and fauna. Its been years since I saw Colin last. We used to work together then I just sort of lost touch with him. I saw he had a new career in fabricating hand made bicycles so I wanted to talk to him about his transition and new life.
