We're looking into ways to add business model information to OpenCritic. Let us know your thoughts on how we can categorize and display "business model intrusiveness" on game pages in a fair and scalable way."   Oculus Rift has had a new permant price drop. The headset and the touch controllers are now $399. Oculus also announced they are working on a new type of headset called Oculus Go that does not need a computer or phone to work. The game now has cosplay between GOG and Steam.   An updated PSVR is coming, but the changes are minor. The breakout box will now allow HDR passthrough and there are intergraded earbuds   ARMS, the new Nintendo fighting game is getting a graphic novel in the fall of 2018.   Shadow of War Nonsense   The SNES Classic has been hacked. You can now add most SNES games to the system with a simple program on your computer.

The game shows off some new characters as well as a closer look at the engine running the game.   Halo 3 is now ten years old!   Assassin's Creed Origins is getting "Discovery Mode" in early 2018. There will be no combat and no story. It is a "dedicated education mode".   Fortnite Battle Royale had over 1 million players on it's first day.   PS Plus for October has been announced and it's a GREAT month. Metal Gear Solid 5 and The Amnesia collection will both be free.

Microsoft is now publishing PUBG on Xbox one with some unclear messaging on exclusivity. Jurassic World Evolution  from the creators of Roller Coaster tycoon (multiplat). New Minecraft Console and  more.   Mass Effect Andromeda will officially not have any DLC, and will receive no further updates.   Persona 5 is currently 39.99 on Amazon and Bestbuy   We Happy Few is officially launching on April 13th 2018 on xbox, PC and PS4 with new story content.   The next Splatfest has been announced for Splatoon 2. Flight vs Invisibility. The splatfest will take place the first weekend in September.

On August 9th, the game received a 12.9GB update on PC - the equivalent of re-downloading all five episodes from scratch. 4 days later, on the 12th of August, a 9.1GB patch was released. Neither of these updates came with patch notes. Some users have reported that their save games had been deleted: Others pointed out that the directory for saves has been changed.   Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds will release on November 7th this year. Persona Q2 for 3ds, Persona 3 Dancing Moon Light and Persona 5 Dancing Star Night for PS4 and PS Vita. 2. Playerunknown's battlegrounds overtakes Fallout 4 and holds the highest player count of any non valve steam game. 3. Overcooked is out on Switch, but buyers beware. The game appears to be very poorly optimized, often running at framerates in the low 20s. 4. Super Mario Odyssey has been rated by the ESRB, and is the first mainline Mario game to get an e10+ rating.

Here's the goods. PS4: Just Cause 3 and Assassin's Cred Freedom Cry PS3: Super Motherball and Snakeball Vita: Downwell and Level 22   IGN reports that Nintendo has now sold 4.7 million units since March. Mario Kart 8 has sold 3.54 million. Arms is at 1.18 million in the first two weeks. With it came  free weekends of the game and a sale where you can buy the game for $14.99. The first free weekend has already happened, but the 2nd one is coming up this weekend for PS4. The update itself included numerous updates to the multiplayer, as well as making the season pass free to all players.   Telltale has announced a slew of new games at SDCC. New Batman season 2 coming in August, as well as a season 2 for The Wolf Among Us in 2018. Last, The Walking Dead is getting a final season in 2018 as well.   DOOMFIST is coming on Thursday.
