Like thousands of other people here at the UCC, Mike Maas of Dark Horse Diesel, Watkins, MN is a spectator. But he may be a qualifier in the future. Mike talks to Chris and Paul about his truck, diesel shop and what it means to attend the UCC.

Josh Gruis goes into detail what happened with his truck yesterday and describes his strategy through the rest of the weekend.  

Art Martinez of PSP Diesel joins Paul and Chris to advocate for Ford diesel. 

Ryan Gelinas of Dynamite Diesel Products and ATS joins Paul and Chris to critique the first day of the UCC and talk about what to expect today and tomorrow.

Paul and Chris wrap up the first day of the UCC 2018 when a little drama on the track caught their attention. 

Trevor Peterson captured the top qualifier spot on the DYNO with 2,100HP. Paul and Chris talk to him and his wife Trista about it. Then we learn about Trevor's strategy moving into the drag race and sled pull events. For now, Trevor Peterson is the top qualifier. 

Jordan Molenaar says he's brought a knife to a gunfight. With his 2008 F350, Jordan says he's ready to win big in the sled pull competition, and that's it. But if he can make it through all events without breaking it's a win-win. 

The Wounded Warrior Project helps veterans get back on their feet after serving in areas of conflict, like Iraq and Afghanistan. Big events like the Ultimate Callout Challenge offer opportunities to the WWP because here they can meet other vets - maybe even encounter those who may need their help. The organization provides outreach to help vets in need. Paul talks to Jesse Babson of Detroit, Michigan - an Army vet who served two tours - one in Iraq and the other in Afghanistan.  For more information: https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/  

Jaran Holder explains why he's not participating in this year's UCC. It's expensive, time consuming and his truck is different now.
