Walking In Truth

If you’ve ever been to a vineyard, you know that those who care for the vineyard put much effort into helping the grape harvest be the very best it can be. As you listen to Pastor Johnny’s message today, think about you being like a grapevine in a beautiful vineyard. Make note of how Jesus, the owner of the vineyard, takes care of you. Sometimes, He handles you with delicate care. But there are other times when He has to prune some branches, so that you’ll thrive, be alive, and be fruitful!

The best way to love them is to spend that intentional time with them and care about the things that matter to them! Well it’s no different with God! Most things you use these days have to be charged after a day or so. Whether it’s cell phones, a laptop, or even a car! If these things aren’t plugged in to the power source, they’ll die and be useless. As you listen to Pastor Johnny today, you’ll notice what kind of power source he’s referring to, and it’s not the typical electrical kind of source. It’s much more powerful and effective than what you generally think of when you picture something being plugged in, and getting recharged.

Your heart goes out to any child who’s experienced being in an orphanage. You hate to think of them being abandoned, or losing their parents. The good news is, Jesus promises that you as a follower of Christ will never be a spiritual orphan. Today, Pastor Johnny tells you all about what it’s like to know and be led by the Holy Spirit. This companion is better than any other friend or buddy that you might have along the way. This is the type of help and comfort that you should want in your life!

When you were young, you might have had an imaginary friend that walked by your side, who you’d talk to, or play with. Well in today’s teaching, Pastor Johnny is speaking about a friend that’s invisible but does exist. This friend is someone you can talk to, and who can speak to you as well, in the quietness of your heart. This friend has emotions and can draw you into great and powerful things that God wants you to do! This friend is a good influence, not bad. This friend leads you to what God wants!

Do you notice how an egg has 3 parts? The shell, the white part, and the yolk are all important pieces of the egg. But they all make up the egg as a whole, right? Well in today’s teaching, Pastor Johnny is speaking about the 3 parts of God….the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. In particular, Pastor Johnny helps explain what Jesus was talking about when He promised those with Him that there would be a Helper who would come and be with them, once He left. So when you see an egg, think of God!

Knowing or speaking something doesn’t cause it to be a magic pill of making something happen. This is absolutely the case when it comes to prayer! Today, Pastor Johnny expresses that it’s the state of your heart, and who you believe God to be, that affects the power of your prayer! God is no genie in a bottle that just fulfills the wishes that you present. God wants to see your faith lived out, in a way that shows that you believe He’s all-powerful and almighty, in ways that no other could be.

In most things in life, you have a choice as to which way to go, or what path to choose. If you choose door A, there will be certain results that come about. If you pick door B, then you’ll go in a different direction. Well in today’s message, Pastor Johnny explains that with God, He makes it very clear that He’s the One who has the path you should want to follow. There are amazing results that come with choosing Him. If you choose the other path, it won’t be because you weren’t warned or cautioned.

There are times in life where you have an opportunity that comes to you, based on who you know or the connection you have with the boss. This can help you get ahead because you knew the right person at the right time. Well in today’s teaching, Pastor Johnny helps you see that it’s all about who you know when it comes to God and getting to heaven. But do you know this God personally, or is He a distant deity that you feel disconnected from? Well, know today that by knowing Jesus, you know God!

The bridge has gone out on the road ahead of you, and so the detour is directing you on a path that happens to be the only other way to get through the mountains. So naturally, you’re going to follow the path that will get you to the other side. Well, this is the idea that Pastor Johnny’s getting to today. He’s letting you know that Jesus is the only way to get to heaven, to have eternal life, to move beyond this life, and its broken roads. So take that detour from the life you’re living, so you’ll be in a better place!

When you buy a new tent, you’re impressed with how strong and sturdy it is…protecting you from the wind and rain. But as you use it over many years, the tent starts to wear out. Today, as Pastor Johnny explains some promises that Jesus gave, you’ll see that there’s a promise about a new home, a new place that won’t wear out as a tent does. It doesn’t fall apart like your body does. There will be no need for repairs or patching up holes, because this place you’re going to will be perfect, without flaws.

When you go to the airport, and you intend to travel to another country, you have to show proof that you belong to the country you’re from. You show physical proof that you’re a citizen of that country. Well today, Pastor Johnny talks about being a citizen of another place. The proof or passport, if you will, of being from another place, is your belief in Jesus, and what He’s done for you. Are you committed to standing behind the country you were born in here on earth, or are you loyal to a heavenly place?

You hear plenty of people state that they would die for someone they love. But what about making a choice where you die for your own good? Not dying in a literal way with your body, but in a spiritual way, from your flesh, and your sin. This is the best way you can show your true love for Jesus..by laying down your desires, your pride, your rebellion, and coming to a place of surrender and peace, with the One who holds it all together. Pastor Johnny teaches today on what it means to really love.

You made it through one of the hardest seasons of your life, with your spouse by your side. He went with you to all the appointments, sat with you while you had treatment, and remained faithful to you as you recovered from the damage the treatment did to your body. That kind of love that you received is a glimpse of the love God has for you. Today, Pastor Johnny gets into how a man, who followed Jesus His whole ministry, ended up playing the part, but he’d never bought into the message that Jesus came for. Instead, this man was used as a tool in the enemy’s toolbox, to bring about the greatest betrayal of all time. This is what happens in the darkness.

If you ever walk around barefoot, you know how dirty and grimy your feet become. You get home, and there’s a film of black on your soles, because of the dirt you picked up along the way. This is what it’s like, as you live your life in a world that’s full of filth and corruption. Some of it might rub onto you, and it’s hard to get it off at times, trying to scrub yourself clean from what’s affected you. Well today, Pastor Johnny helps you see that Jesus provides you the type of cleansing you need from the world.

There’s a certain level of satisfaction, being served a nice meal at a restaurant, where you don’t have to do any of the prep work for the meal. The tasty food comes to you, and you just get to enjoy it, without worrying about having to do the dishes. But what if you were on the other side of things? Would you be able to have the same attitude if the roles were reversed, and you were the one serving food and doing dishes? Could you enjoy it as fully? Well today, Pastor Johnny talks about the benefits of serving.

When you’re an undercover cop, you’re trying to disguise yourself as a normal civilian so that criminals don’t suspect that you’re going to arrest them. But when you become a follower of Christ, you shouldn’t be trying to hide who you are, and what you stand for. Pastor Johnny says today that you need to care most about what God thinks of you, and by doing that, then you can be genuine and real with those around you, as to what you believe, and why. Those people deserve to know the real you!

You’re driving on a highway, and you approach an intersection, where multiple roads meet. The roads are from different directions, but they all meet here at this one place.
