Solemnity of St. John the Baptist. John was God's "secret weapon" to prepare people for the coming of the Lord. Similarly, we should pave the way for those we know and meet to receive the Lord. This week we are treated to the powerful resurrection appearances of Jesus where his goal is to prove to his disciples that he's not a ghost or a spirit, but "the real thing."
