Another John Weekly Message

For God so loved the world he GAVE....That is our example. We are giving because we know God is.

"Will you be a witness?" is the wrong question. It's a given; you are a witness. The only question is: What kind of witness will you be?

Don't think of the Bible as an instruction book. Think of it as God's words of life for all of us. See the difference?

God does not want us to lose heart, and has given us a way to keep from doing so.

When was the last time God wowed you?

Jesus wasn't saying people couldn't follow him. He was saying people wouldn't follow him.

Our welcome, or lack thereof, often gives people an impression not of you, or your church, but of God. Do you grumble or welcome?

Jesus tells us we become like the rich man when we ignore people like Lazarus.

Leadership is a gift from church the church has squandered. God's people are called to lead, and do something.

We all have a place at God's table. The question is, how willing are we to extend that invitation to everyone?

Jesus offers us freedom, but as long as we keep acting our faith we'll never be able to live into it fully.

If following Jesus make you happy, happy, happy, you got lucky because that's not what he came to do. This sermon reminds us of the kind of faith Christ wants for us.

Christ's message was the kingdom of God. It is God's good pleasure to give us the kingdom.

What made the rich man a fool? It wasn't his money. It wasn't his bigger barns. It may have been his attitude.

The last sermon in our series, "Promises of the Apocalypse." The book of Revelation is not about the end of the world. It's about something even scarier.
