Another John Weekly Message

We don't drive limos for Christmas, but it's hard to fight the feeling that we have to go "all out" to celebrate it right.

Does your worship of God impact the details of your life? 

I'm a little less sympathetic to people who leave used tissues in the pew :) 

Getting to the backside can be difficult. Is it worth it to put so much effort into decorating a part of the tree no one will see? Maybe not.

Jesus is our lens. Love was his.

It seemed like no one feared God. That's never true, thankfully.

Keep in mind that Jesus didn't ask for committees. He asked for followers.

How do you decide that you're serving God over anything or anyone else?

As the body of Christ, we have the victory of Christ.

We needed a savior and God gave us one.

Don't think your experiences with God are a small matter.

How many of us were afraid of the dark as children? How many of us have watched too many horror movies and the dark still makes us a bit uncomfortable as adults?

Who are you going to listen to?

Some people think love is easy.

What lessons have we missed?

Are we able to trust God with our lives? Are we willing to trust God?

For the Christian heart, doing a good job means living for God's glory.

The Lord has not forsaken us.

Whatever is happening in life, don't hold back when you take it to the Lord in prayer.

Does thanksgiving need a holiday to remind us of God's goodness?
