Destiny of the False Prophets
06/09/2015 Duração: 47minAs we continue the study of Jude, there are some strong warnings about the fate of the false prophets. Not only the false prophets of the past and in history, but those who are active among us today; in churches and in leadership. How can we keep from falling into the trap of believing the lies of those who intend to lead us away from truth? Pastor Renfro helps us see the dangers we face in today's world from false teachers, leaders and those who desire to turn away from God's commandments as given to us in His word.

Contend for the Faith
30/08/2015 Duração: 39minWe have been through a few of the NT epistles in the last year and we now reach the short book of Jude, just before Revelation. Jude is exhorting his readers to stand strong and contend for the true Gospel in evangelism and in their daily lives. But what about verse 4 where he warns against false teachers? Does this warning apply to us today?

Session 2: God's Sovereignty
30/08/2015 Duração: 48minAs those who believe in predestination and understanding that God has chosen us for salvation, we may fall into the trap of believing that evangelism is somewhat 'unnecessary.' And yet, this is not what is taught in Scripture. Man has been given responsibility in salvation and is held accountable for his actions. Download the PDF handout below to follow along.

Session 1: Are You Into What God’s Up To?
23/08/2015 Duração: 48minAs we begin a series on evangelism in First Light, we begin by asking this important question. Are you into what God's up to? Don't Be A Diotrephes
16/08/2015 Duração: 49minSeems like a self-explanatory title, right? Well, maybe. In the apostle John's last epistle, towards the end of the letter there are two curious verses that address a situation that John plans to rectify when he comes. Are there really people like Diotrephes in our churches today or even in business and society? Pay close attention as we seek to guard against taking power and control over the church instead of allowing Christ to be the head.

Little People, Big God
16/08/2015 Duração: 39minAround the world and especially in America, we as humans seem to have a common issue with people of less stature. And we don't mean children or those who are shorter than average. We find it hard to believe that people with less privilege, a demeaning occupation or a similar impediment are incapable of contributing something useful to society or to the Kingdom. Pastor Bob opens up the familiar story of David & Goliath to demonstrate God's purpose in using people for His purposes who seem less likely to succeed in life.
