  • After the Questions: Now What?

    20/03/2016 Duração: 38min

Remembering our lesson from last week and the importance of asking the right questions, now we come to the next step in the process. What do I do with the information I receive after asking questions? How do I respond to the answers? Cody takes us through examining the situation, seeing the response by those involved, and finally getting to the thoughts and motives that have brought about the negative state of the relationship.

  • A Better Way of Thinking

    20/03/2016 Duração: 37min

The battle facing Christianity in America today is clearly marked out for us in Romans 1 where Paul gives a frightening description of the state of those who are unsaved and proud of it. A parallel passage exists in Ephesians 4 verses 17-18 where Paul admonishes his readers to not walk as the Gentiles were, in the futility of their minds. Pastor Welch underscores the similarities between our day and the era in which Paul was writing and how we must focus on that which is true, just, noble and pure in spite of today's debauched existence.

  • Asking the Right Questions

    13/03/2016 Duração: 34min

"How are you?" "I'm doing fine!" This exchange of pleasantries is heard often on a Sunday morning. But do either of us really mean it? Or is there a better, more biblical way to be concerned and interested in what is going on in our lives? In a very practical lesson, Cody takes us through the biblical support for asking the right questions and in the same thought, being humble and willing to answer truthfully about our lives as well.

  • Right Leadership

    13/03/2016 Duração: 54min

The title may speak to the leadership, but there is much in this message that is directed to everyone. As we come to a point of transition in our body in the coming weeks, it is important to consider carefully the scriptural qualifications for an elder and preacher and our responsibilities as members to support the leaders of the body. We will focusing on verses 11-14 of Ephesians chapter 4 in today's message.

  • Ascending & Descending

    06/03/2016 Duração: 40min

As we continue in our study through Ephesians, we come upon a singular passage that has been the topic of much debate over the centuries among many different beliefs of Christianity. What does it mean that Christ descended in verses 9 and 10 of chapter 4? Does it mean He went down into Hell? Or is it referring to our place of existence as the 'lower parts of the earth"? Pastor Welch takes a careful look at the various explanations and theories and brings us a possible biblical conclusion to the issue.
